Isolating attackers

When playing in defence as a lone defender against a lone attacker you can isolate the attacker when your team wins possession. Simply push further up the pitch and the attacker will be isolated and unable to help defend or win the ball back. You will now outnumber your opponents. Beware that once you lose the ball, he will be deep in your half and you will be stranded...This tactic can often put you in a position to contain your opponents team.
